The Nosara Beach House is located 200 meters from Playa Guiones bordering the Nosara-Ostional National Refuge. In a two minute walk you can reach the beach, and in 5 minutes you can get to Nosara’s touristic-zone with souvenir-shops, supermarket, restaurants, medical clinic, pharmacy and surf-shops.

The airport and the bus-station are in Nosara village, approximately 4 km from the The Nosara Beach House. Furthermore, you can find in Nosara village the post-office, the police-station, a medical clinic, a pharmacy, a spanish-school and refreshments.

Ways of traveling to Nosara:

By car or taxi:

To travel to Nosara, four-wheel-drive-cars are handy, but in dry season not really necessary.
Driving time from

- San Jose: via the new Tempisque bridge approximately 6 hours.
- Liberia International Airport: via Nicoya approximately 2.5 hours.

About 1 mile before reaching Playa Guiones, you will pass the small village of Esperanza, with its soccer field and public school. Upon reaching the area of Playa Guiones, turn downhill at the Giardino Tropicale which will be on your left, then bare left about 600 meters. You'll pass the NO EXIT sign (as we're on a dead end road to the beach). The next right will be our long driveway with an entry sign saying NOSARA BEACH HOUSE.

By bus:

- San José: The Alfaro Bus Company departs from San José to Nosara daily at 5:30 a.m., leaving from the Coca-Cola bus terminal, 14th street, 5th avenue. Fare is about $8.00 and it takes between 6 and 7 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. The telephone number is: 2222-2666. Buy your ticket in advance.

- Nicoya: Local bus (telephone number 2685 53 52) from Nicoya to Nosara at approximately 10 a.m., 12 o’clock, 3 p.m.
